The River of Life Tabernacle, Inc., was founded in August 1989 by Apostle Lee & Shirley Pace. They, together with 18 people, desired for God’s presence to inhabit a house of worship that wasn’t limited to racial, social, economic or denominational boundaries. Their vision was for a church where people would be free to express themselves as true worshipers of God. This vision proved to be God’s plan as The River began reaching out to the community.
As this congregation began to grow, God continued to bless as hundreds of people gathered together each Sunday experiencing the life-changing, overwhelming power of God. Men and women from every walk of life experienced life-saving conversions, miracles and untold healing’s.
Bryan Lee Pace was placed as Senior Pastor until his heavenly promotion in August 2022.
Today, history is still being penned as the vision continues. Now, thousands of people’s lives have been touched as The River continues to flow not only to our community, but to our nation and to the world.

Our Beliefs
WE BELIEVE IN ONE GOD.
WE BELIEVE in one God, revealed in three manifestations (Deuteronomy 6:4, John 10:30, John 14:26, John 17:11, John 21:22, Ephesians 4:4-6, 1 John 5:6-13). (1) Father in creation (2)Son in redemption (3)Holy Spirit in regeneration.
WE BELIEVE that our Lord Jesus Christ was begotten, not created, very God of very God, truly God, truly man (John 14:6-11). He was born of the Virgin Mary (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23), lived a sinless life (Hebrews 4:15), died a vicarious and atoning death for the sins of the world (Hebrews 7:24-25), resurrected bodily for our justification (John 6:40, John 11:25, II Corinthians 4:14), and now reigns in glory until all things are put under His feet (Ephesians 1:20-23).

WE BELIEVE IN THE ABSOLUTE INSPIRATION OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURE.
WE BELIEVE in the absolute inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, given by the Holy Spirit without error, as he moved upon holy men of old. Futhermore, WE BELIEVE that the church has no authority to establish doctrine or practice contrary to these same scriptures, which were subsequently accepted as canon by the early Christian church
John 20:31 // Acts 18:24-28 // Romans 15:4 // Romans 16:25-26 // I Corinthians 10:11 // II Timothy 3:16-17 // II Peter 12:21 // I John 5:13

WE BELIEVE THAT MAN WAS CREATED IN THE IMAGE OF GOD.
WE BELIEVE that man was made in the image of God and is the crown of creation (Genesis 1:27-28). He is now, by reason of the fall, spiritually depraved and alienated from his Creator (Isaiah 43:27-28). Apart from God’s grace he has no ability to attain his high calling (Romans 5:8-21, I Corinthians 15:21-22).
WE BELIEVE THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT DWELLS WITH ALL BELIEVERS.
WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit dwells with all believers, conforming them to the image of Jesus Christ (Exodus 36:27, Matthew 3:11, Mark 16:17, Luke 11:13, 24-29, John 14:16 & 20, Acts 19:1-2, Acts 2:38, I Corinthians 3:16, I John 2:27)
WE BELIEVE THAT THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IS AN ENDOWMENT OF POWER GIVEN BY GOD.
WE BELIEVE that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is an endowment of power given by God, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, to anoint the believer for sanctification and evangelism. It is our understanding that the supernatural charisma of the Holy Spirit is active within the body of Christ until the coming of the Lord. Furthermore, we believe the development of these charismatic gifts ought to be encouraged under the guidance of local church authorities (Matthew 25:15, John 6:63, John 16:13, Acts 1:8, Romans 12:6, I Corinthians 4:7, I Corinthians 12:4, II Corinthians 3:6, I John 3:24).
WE BELIEVE THAT JUSTIFICATION IS BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH.
WE BELIEVE that justification is by grace through faith in our Lord’s sacrifice on Calvary (Acts 15:11, Romans 3:24, 5:15, 11:6, Ephesians 2:5, Titus 2:11, 3:7).
WE BELIEVE all of God’s people are to be water baptized by immersion in the Name of Jesus (Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:16, John 3:5, Acts 2:38, Acts 10:48, Acts 22:16).
WE BELIEVE all of God’s people are to be water baptized by immersion in the Name of Jesus (Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:16, John 3:5, Acts 2:38, Acts 10:48, Acts 22:16).
WE BELIEVE IN THE HOLY CHRISTIAN CHURCH.
WE BELIEVE in the Holy Christian Church, imperfectly represented on earth by the various Christian institutions. Her unity is spiritual (Matthew 18:19), her culture diverse and transitional (Hebrews 6:1-3), her mission eternal (Matthew 24:14).
WE BELIEVE that the identity of the Body of Christ on the earth is primarily perceived through the local church. While encouraging the voluntary association of local churches, and recognizing the need of consensus on matters of fundamental doctrine and conduct, we strongly confess the local church to be sovereign and autonomous (Romans 12:5, I Corinthians 12:27, Ephesians 1:23, Ephesians 4:12, Colossians 1:24, Colossians 2:19).

WE BELIEVE IN THE CALLINGS OF THE APOSTLE, PROPHET, EVANGELIST, PASTOR & TEACHER.
WE BELIEVE that the callings of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor (Set Ministry) and Teacher are functional within the Body of Christ until the Lord’s return. Furthermore, these ministries are gifts to the church for the purpose of equipping the saints for the work of ministry, that the Body of Christ be edified (Ephesians 4:11-16).
WE BELIEVE in the right of local churches and ministries to form temporal institutions to assist them in carrying out the work of God. At the same time, we reject sectarianism and divisiveness as great evils (Matthew 16:18, Acts 15:6, Acts 15:28, I Corinthians 7:17. I Corinthians 11:34, I Thessalonians 1:1, I Timothy 3:5, I Timothy 5:1).
WE BELIEVE that those who are called by the Name of Christ should depart from iniquity. Understanding that salvation from the penalty of sin only begins the process of redemption, we acknowledge that one work of the Holy Spirit is to create in us the character of Christ (Psalms 14:3, Psalms 53:5, Proverbs 20:9, Isaiah 53:6, Romans 3:23, Hebrews 3:13, Revelation 19:20).

WE BELIEVE IN THE PRIESTHOOD OF THE BELIEVER.
WE BELIEVE in the priesthood of the believer, that is to say all people born of God have equal status before, and direct access to , their Lord (Exodus 19:6, Isaiah 61:6, I Peter 2:5, Revelation 1:6, 20:6).
WE BELIEVE that God’s word instructs the congregation of the Church to support His work with tithes and offerings (Genesis 28:22, Leviticus 27:30, II Chronicles 31:5, Malachi 3:10, Matthew 23:23, Luke 18:12).

WE BELIEVE IN THE LITERAL SECOND COMING OF OUR LORD.
WE BELIEVE in the literal second coming of our Lord, the literal rule of Christ upon the earth, the resurrection of the regenerate to eternal life, the unregenerate to eternal damnation, and the ultimate victory of the eternal Kingdom of God.
